When repairing the Sansula Basic, only the frame is reused. A new sound block is installed along with the new membrane, as the old one is firmly bonded to the membrane.

You can remove the old sound block and use it as a mini kalimba! If you don't have any use for it, please send it back as well, as we can refurbish and reuse parts of it.

We also have the ability to repair a broken Sansula Basic with the much more stable plastic diaphragm (REMO brand), like the Renaissance model. The repaired instrument is technically identical to the Sansula Renaissance model, but visually shares some of the characteristics of both models (the Renaissance has a higher wooden rim, the Basic has a rubber ring).
