Sansula

The Sansula - the attractive further development of the Kalimba

musical instrument with a success story

The kalimba is used in many different musical forms, and is appreciated by jazz musicians, world music bands and singer-songwriters across all genres. There are kalimba players all over the world and the triumph of this popular instrument is far from over. That is why Hokema launched the Sansula has launched an attractive further development of the African Kalimba, which is available in four different versions. What they all have in common is their particularly voluminous sound. This feature has made the model series a bestseller at Hokema within a very short time.

The different Sansula

Sansula Basic

The basic variant among the Sansulas is, like all other models, available in pitches of 440 or 432 Hertz.

Sansula Deluxe

A further development of the basic model. The Sansula Deluxe is equipped with a stable natural membrane made of goatskin and a tensioning device. This makes the instrument even more versatile.

Sansula Renaissance

The model combines the advantages of all previous models in a single instrument. Thanks to its extremely stable membrane made of drum skin from the American company REMO, the Sansula Renaissance is completely insensitive to fluctuations in humidity and always retains its beautiful sound.

Sansula Renaissance Elektro

With piezo pickup in the sound block. In addition, this Sansula Model has a microphone inside the frame. An amplifier with phantom power is required to play.

Sansula Basic Melody

This model is tuned to G major and combines the sound of the Sansula with the range of the Kalimba B11 Melody. With the Sansula Basic Melody You can play intuitively, but also accompany others in their music with wonderful chords.

Sansula bag

For the transport of sensitive instruments we recommend the special Sansula Bag. All models are optimally stored and protected in it. The fiberglass reinforcement inside the bag and the all-round padding prevent damage to the sensitive fur as best as possible. An adjustable shoulder strap ensures flexibility during transport.

As a further development of the Kalimba, all models are just as easy to play as the original musical instrument. Hokema has enhanced the normal Kalimba with a free-floating suspension for the sound block. The frame made of laminated beech wood is characterized by its oval shape and is covered with a sound membrane. This produces a long-lasting, extremely soft tone. By alternately opening and closing the underside of the frame, you can also create an impressive wah-wah effect.
