For some time now, there’s been more to discover on our website than just our unique instruments. If you’ve taken a closer look, you may also have come across the fascinating, inspiring, and truly unique stories of people from all walks of life who use our instruments in their daily work — and have come to love them along the way.

Bringing these people, their work, and the many different ways our HOKEMA instruments can be used into the spotlight is something I’m particularly passionate about.

Let me introduce myself: my name is Annalena Horl. For some time now, I’ve been writing articles for the HOKEMA website, interviewing our customers, and exploring the many facets of our musical world. My aim is to share these stories while introducing you to the diverse and inspiring people who are part of it.

And that only really works through personal connection. Whenever I can, I like to meet our customers and talk to them about their work, their music, and the ways they use our instruments. For me, that’s a wonderful gift in itself, because it gives me the opportunity to discover so many different fields and applications — and to see just how versatile our instruments can be.

Writing has always been something I’ve loved. Over the years, I’ve written for newspapers and travel magazines, as well as in my work as a language teacher. But when words and music come together, I feel completely in my element.

That’s why I’m especially happy to share these wonderful stories, inspiring people, and the many different ways of playing the Sansula and Kalimba with you.
